Since the inception of our church here in Sunderland, our heartbeat has been for Christ, for people and for our city.

We are convinced that the time is now, more than ever, to reach Sunderland with the love of Christ.

Matthew 28:19 says “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

This great commission is not a suggestion; it is a responsibility every Christian must chose to participate in. We are all a part of this good work: reconciling mankind with God through the power of the gospel – the good news of Jesus Christ.

Recently, we hosted our annual open-invite finance update meeting, where we shared the vision for our church as we move forward.

And so on Sunday 6th of June we will be taking up our annual Vision Builders offering where we are believing to raise £15,000 for our church and for our city.

1) To prepare for a new home

We are incredibly thankful for the past three years we have spent at Tenon House. Now, with our charity lease there coming towards an end, we strongly believe our next step is to find a place we, as a church family, can call home.

Your generosity will make a way for this. A space to gather as a community. A space to worship. A space to grow. A space of encounter and transformation. A space to reach our community.

2) To extend the gospel

The passion to introduce people to Jesus is at the centre of all we do. Your generosity will pave the way for us to reach more people with the gospel through our in-person services and online presence.

3) To resource and strengthen ministries

Our heart is to see people grow and thrive in their formation as disciples of Jesus.  We want to be able to strengthen and invest in our current teams and ministries, as well as birth new ones.

1) To build local relationships and further serve our city

As we move forward as a church family, our desire is to become woven into the fabric of our city as a community of people who are here to serve and show the love of Jesus in real and practical ways.

This year we are privileged to partner with four other great churches in Sunderland, to support the launch of a CAP Debt Centre. CAP is a movement that seeks to set people free from poverty and release people from the prison of debt and we can’t wait to see how God will use this project to transform the lives of people in our great city.
