Our annual Weekend Away is 48 hours of memory-making, quality time as a church! And we'd love YOU to join us!

Featuring powerful times of worship, prayer and teaching – not to mention plenty of fun activities and intentional family time – it’s going to be significant!

Location

Whithaugh Park residential centre is situated in the unspoilt landscape of the Scottish Borders countryside and shares its surroundings with forests and rivers. It takes roughly 2.5 hours to drive there. If you’re a driver, there is on site parking. If you need a ride, we’d encourage you to arrange a lift with a friend. We’re also looking into hiring a coach which will be an additional cost to your overall booking if you need a ride.

Accommodation

The accommodation is made up of Scandinavian-style lodges in a cluster of holms. Each holm consists of sleeping lodges, a meeting room and a separate kitchen/dining lodge. Bedrooms, shower and toilet facilities are within each of the lodges.

Once we have the booking list finalised we’ll be able to allocate rooms, but families will be together as far as possible.

Pricing

We have tried to keep the price as low as possible. The prices are:

£90 for adults
£35 for children aged 5-16
And free for 4 and unders

This includes accommodation, and all meals.

We will be self-catering over the weekend. We’ll all be in different teams that will be responsible for preparing one meal and washing up after a different one over the course of the weekend.

Payment for the weekend is completed via bank transfer and not within the form.  Please follow the instructions in your confirmation email on how to pay. All payments must be made by 1st April 2026.

When you book you have the option to pay in a one-off transfer (if you’d like to do that, please complete your payment upon booking). If you’d like to make a one-off payment at a later date, please secure your booking with a £10 per person deposit as soon as possible with the details on your confirmation email.

If you’d like to spread the cost, you can also set up a 9 month standing order from August-April. Your confirmation email will detail the monthly cost for you and give you the bank details to set this up.

We are looking into booking a small coach for anyone who needs a ride. We expect this to cost £30 per person. If you’d need a space on the coach, please let us know in your booking form and we’ll be in touch with more info soon.

Activities

Whithaugh Park offers a broad range of outdoor activities at an additional cost to accommodation.

To participate in one activity is £23.10 per person
To participate in two activities is £45 per person

To be able to carry out activities we will need to meet minimum number requirements for each activity. If you have an interest in taking part in climbing, kayaking or the zip wire, we ask that you let us know on the booking form and make your payment. We’ll then be in touch to find out what activity you’d like to do and check numbers and availability. If it can’t go ahead for any reason, we’ll issue a full refund.

There are also a number of free activities at Whithaugh such as the low ropes course or orienteering. So there’s something for everyone and every budget! We’ll be organising these later in the year.

Swimming

Whithaugh Park also has an indoor pool! If you’d like to add a swim to your booking it’s £4.30 – just let us know on your booking form!
